POSITION PROFILE

Title:                          Systems Manager - Finance

Position Mission

 

Leading a team that provides the Finance & Accounting department with functional support and guidance in the use of ERP and related systems.

Position Objectives and Expectations

 

 

·         This role includes leading an Functional & Technical  team.

·         The person should have Finance & accounting background, with a firm understanding of the structure and functionality of the General Ledger (Oracle Financials) and accounting knowledge.

·         He should take initiatives in system process improvements and proactively identifying & resolving system issues.

·         Develops staff to fully utilize their potential and maintain engagement to team deliverables. Works together with and supports other Accounting System team members to achieve team goals and deliverables.

 Other major responsibilities of the role are to:

  • Provide Functional/Technical Support in ERP(Oracle /HFM)  to the team whenever required.
  • Ensure that systems and procedures are properly aligned.
  • To be responsible for the delivery and support of robust and reliable production finance systems working with Global teams.
  • Lead and supervise Systems team maintaining databases, Develop better financial reporting systems, and dashboards.
  • To develop and maintain the finance systems support organization tasks and projects that are to be included in the Group Finance departmental plans.
  • To ensure team processes and procedures are efficient and effective, ensuring continual review of all processes and the creation of new ones where necessary. Ensure that these are being applied individually and across the team with due rigor, quality and transparency.
  •  Identify pain points and drive process improvements that increase efficiency.
  • To manage the reporting and awareness of a Finance Systems Balanced Scorecard, covering system checks, validations, incidents, issues and resolutions.
  • Manage effective working relationships with other departments, groups and personnel with whom work must be coordinated or interfaced.

Provision of adequate cover as defined in the SLA's over the required    support hours (this may vary according to the application) and manage the team accordingly.

  • Participate, organize and lead teams in project migrations and upgrades, the delivery of new system functionality and other system related projects.

Liaison with on‐shore resources (both IT staff and users) regarding the precise nature of the task if this is not clear

  • Supervise and direct the work of staff to achieve financial system goals for team, department and organization.
  • Support staff development and engagement.

Skills & Experience Required

  • 8+ years of related experience
  • Extensive knowledge of ERP systems, including a deep understanding of system implementation methodology and system maintenance.
  • Expertise in functional support in ERP (Oracle11i or higher )
  • Experience in HFM and Hyperion Planning - V11.1.2.4,
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to organize and direct teams in a fast paced, changing environment
  • Understanding of accounting, financial related processes (GL, AP, FA, Cash management etc.)and ERP implementation projects
  • Should be comfortable with PL/SQL knowledge.

·         Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

 

·         Working knowledge of Keystone and experience of the Legal systems is an ideal advantage. Understanding of project management and/or financial implementations

 

·         Excellent interpersonal skills, with an ability for negotiation and communication
