Experience
• Experience of working in a busy public relations environment, preferably with agency and B2B exposure
• Successful track record of managing projects and responsibility for the day to day delivery of client account work
• Demonstrable ability to achieve media outcomes that support the organisation's strategic and commercial goals
• Experience of working with professional services clients would be an advantage but is not a prerequisite
Skills and knowledge
• A demonstrable enthusiasm and aptitude for media relations, with evidence of good media relationships and delivering results within tier one media targets
• Persuasive oral and written communication – in particular an ability to produce news-friendly copy, as well as longer feature and opinion pieces
• A good understanding of social media in the B2B context
• Awareness and appreciation of different cultural dynamics within businesses and the media landscape
Qualifications
• Ideally be educated to degree level or equivalent

• Works with limited day to day supervision and excellent attention to detail
• Plans and organises effectively to meet business priorities
• Communicates clearly, persuasively and with sensitivity, both orally and in writing

• Gathers and analyses information and shares the insight gained to bring about good decisions, solutions and action
• Forms strong working relationships with others and uses those relationships to benefit both the group and the firm as a whole
• Exhibits self-motivation and flexibility to improve continuously both quality of delivery and personal performance – the candidate will be expected to keep abreast of developments and trends at relevant news outlets
• Shows commitment to the team and demonstrates reliability as an active participant taking the initiative to help make things happen
