Responsible for overall management of the São Paulo, Brazil office. Opportunity for self-starter interested in learning and growing in an international role in a small office environment.


Office Management
  • Overall management of administrative departments.
  • Assist Managing Partner on special projects in relation to strategic and business planning.
  • Liaise with Director of Operations on real estate matters and imminent office move.
  • Assist with structuring and maintenance of São Paulo legal entities.
  • Coordinate regular meetings for business services staff.
  • Organize and manage client entertainment and special events (e.g., annual holiday party) including venue selection, invitations, follow-up, etc.
  • Oversee recruitment of legal and business services staff.
  • Manage business services colleagues as well as external service providers to ensure smooth daily office operations.
  • Manage annual performance appraisals of business services colleagues and administer associate appraisal process in conjunction with the Office Managing Partner.
  • Review monthly payroll and dividend payments, annual inflation adjustments; manage bonus and annual incremental salary increases.
  • Administer benefits programs and negotiate adjustments.
  • Work with Human Resources team and external local counsel to ensure that Firm policies and procedures are followed and that the office is in compliance with local human resources laws.
  • Handle employee relations including coaching, counseling and discipline.
  • Overall responsibility for preparing budgets and overseeing billing and collections.
Business Development
  • Develop pitches, capability statements, fee quotes and marketing materials to help win new business and build client relationships.
  • Four-year degree and/or related experience.
  • Advanced fluency in English and Portuguese and required.
  • Experience in a Managerial role within a law firm required.
  • Experience with annual departmental budgeting responsibilities.
  • Exemplary interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
  • Managerial experience in a professional services environment preferred (legal a plus).
  • Client service oriented.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects.
  • Familiarity with general accounting procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
