We specialise in providing commercial advice on all transaction types where real estate is the core asset. Acting for the real estate industry's leading players, we advise on the full range of real estate-related transactions. Our leading real estate practice, with over 300 Partners and Lawyers worldwide, offers UK, European, Asian and US real estate capability and advises the real estate industry’s leading players on the entire property ‘life-cycle’.


Key Responsibilities
  • Able to take day to day responsibility for advising, managing and completing your own workload.
  • The work will include organisation of work streams, working closely with Partners and other Lawyers and supervising more junior Lawyers.
  • It will involve a high proportion of client contact, it will involve conducting negotiations and drafting documents.
  • It may involve managing and/or coordinating cross-practice area and/or multi-jurisdictional teams
  • There will be a significant presentation element to the role.

Skills and Experience

This is an opening for a mid-level Real Estate Lawyer who can demonstrate a background within a similar field of work, probably gained at a City Firm, or at an overseas common law practice with a similar highly regarded profile.

  • Solid experience advising on real estate acquisitions and disposals (direct and indirect), landlord and tenant matters, real estate development and due diligence.
  • Have a detailed and strong knowledge of commercial and legal issues affecting the real estate sector.
  • You will have strong legal skills with the ability to provide commercial solutions.
  • Good transactional and management skills.
  • Experience of taking a leading role in advising clients, supervising junior Lawyers and completing transactions.
  • You will enjoy working in a busy and supportive team, supervising others and liaising with Lawyers in other practice areas and/or offices in the firm.
  • First class negotiating and presentation skills.
  • Good drafting skills.
  • Sound commercial judgment.
  • An understanding of and experience of joint ventures and various forms of collective investment vehicles, and a working knowledge of partnerships, corporate tax and regulatory provisions affecting international real estate transactions would be beneficial.
  • A good knowledge of the commercial real estate market and an interest in the real estate market are important.
Qualifications
You will have an outstanding academic record.
