This position is a specialist role within the Singapore HR team.


The role will be responsible for the development, implementation and day-to-day management of programmes and initiatives in relation to the recruitment, development and progression of interns and trainees for the Singapore office.  


Key Responsibilities:

Graduate Recruitment

  • Develop and successfully execute internship and training programmes with strong candidate conversion to Training Contracts and strong internal engagement in terms of partner & associate involvement.
  • Deliver a unique employer brand offering for the internship and training programmes, to enhance the attraction, selection and retention of quality candidates.
  • Maintain and monitor our selection strategies, to ensure return on investment from events and marketing and to ensure the firm continues to hire exceptional candidates onto its internship and training programmes.
  • Manage all selection and assessment activities in relation to graduates and interns, including application screening, candidate ranking, assessment days, offer decisions, interviewer training, interviewing materials and interviewer panels.
  • Brief, co-ordinate and work with partners and lawyers on the selection process for trainees and interns.
  • Take responsibility for Campus relationship management for key strategic relationship universities and monitoring activities to ensure return on investment from events.
  • Act as the main point of contact for liaising with the graduate recruitment contacts in our international network, maximising opportunities for inter-office student events, networking and knowledge sharing.
  • Plan an annual calendar of events and activities, and attend key events which relate to the recruitment and development of graduate talent.  Design and deliver key events including open days, post-offer events and cultivation activities.
  • Develop and manage alumni teams to ensure high engagement in the programmes.
Graduate Development
  • Manage the seat allocation and rotation process for the office.
  • Manage trainee secondments, including the secondment of international trainees within the network.
  • Take responsibility for the career development of trainees (including regulatory requirements related to formal qualification).
  • Brief lawyers on supervision skills and monitor their effectiveness in their task.
  • Working with the Regional Training Manager, determine and implement development activities for interns and trainees, including inductions, technical skills and business skills training.
  • Manage the internal trainee qualification process;
  • Manage qualification failures and training programme retractions with assistance from the HR Manager;
  • Involvement in ad-hoc projects as directed by the HR Manager.

Skills & Experience

  • You will have experience in graduate recruitment gained within a large international corporate environment, and will have been involved in the marketing, attraction, assessment and selection of graduates.
  • You will have project management experience with the ability to gain buy-in from stakeholders, manage expectations and communicate progress effectively.
  • You will have good knowledge of current trends in recruitment marketing tools and social media.
  • You will have strong technical skills, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
  • You will understand how to demonstrate the business impact of recruitment via measures and metrics.
  • You will have a demonstrated interest and experience in the development of talent.
  • You will have strong planning and organisational skills and strong attention to detail.  You will also be experienced in providing solutions to often complex issues.
  • You will have excellent communication skills with proven experience of building and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A natural presenter and communicator, you will have an ability to build rapport easily.
