Assistant Manager – Human Resources

The broad scope of the role involves managing end-to-end recruitment lifecycle and collaborating with department/hiring managers on a regular basis for their hiring needs. You should also be able to attract potential candidates using various sources like networking, social media, employee referrals, job boards etc.


Key responsibilities

  • Establishes recruiting requirements by studying organization plans and objectives; meeting with managers to discuss needs
  • Meets assigned hiring deadlines and headcount fulfillment for open positions
  • Screens resumes, selects suitable profiles and assesses candidates
  • Sources candidates utilizing tools provided and using out of the box thinking/techniques
  • Ability to cold call and communicate effectively to potential candidates
  • Conduct interviews using various reliable recruiting and selection tools/methods to filter candidates within schedule
  • Regular use of Social Media, including LinkedIn and other job boards
  • Posts jobs and relevant articles to attract candidates
  • Seeks referrals and recommendations to source potential candidates
  • Understands and adheres to the hiring process, policy, and all other areas related to communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Reports to Manager HR on an ongoing basis, to monitor and feedback progress on assigned vacancies
  • Demonstrates ability to think creatively and critically relative to finding talent
  • Demonstrates good judgement and decision making
  • Stays up-to-date with Industry Trends to increase company and professional brand profile and meet potential candidates
  • Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process
  • Promote organization’s reputation as “best place to work”
Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of strong sourcing/recruitment experience gained within a corporate setting or agency with MBA from a reputed institute
  • Recruiting subject matter expert with a proven track record of direct sourcing and an excellent understanding of how to use direct sourcing channels i.e. networking, employee referral, job boards, etc.
  • Experience in full-life cycle recruitment to include: posting requisitions to internal/external job boards, developing sourcing strategy, sourcing/screening candidates, qualifying and assessing skills and attributes, coordinate interviews, collect feedback, negotiate compensation, benefits and composing job offer
  • Evaluates applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers; interviewing applicants on consistent set of qualifications
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
  • Individual must be hands-on and possess excellent interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, analytical, and research skills
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Familiarity with HR systems preferably Workday
  • Hands-on experience with recruiting software or Candidate Management Systems (CMS) or Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) preferably Taleo
  • Passion for driving quality in everything you do relating to HR standards
  • Ability to work effectively within a highly ambiguous, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to collaborate and influence others
  • Ability to work under significant pressure with challenging deadlines, simultaneously managing multiple tasks and recruitment assignments
  • Experience in conducting cold-calls both for recruiting and research purposes
  • Excellent background in creating partnerships, ideally with passive candidates as well as with hiring managers
  • Individual must have an understanding of and passion for Technology
