Client and Matter Intelligence (CMI) is one of the streams under the BRS department.


The role of the Analyst – CMI is to ensure our global strategic client and other core client data we hold on the Firm's client relationship intelligence tools (Global Proposals Database (GPD), Matter Capture, InterAction, are held in accordance with the Firm's data standards, are fit for purpose, relevant and reliable.


For this stream we are looking for an Analyst – CMI, to work in the following shift timings:


UK Shift (A) (13:15 PM to 10:00 PM) April to October

UK Shift (B) (14:15 PM to 11:00 PM) November – March


US Shift (A) (06:00 PM to 02:30 AM) April to October

US Shift (B) (07:00 PM to 03:30 AM) November – March


Key Responsibilities

The Analyst – CMI will work within a team of colleagues in managing client databases.


The key responsibilities of the role are:

·      Ensure global strategic clients are set-up and held in accordance with the Firm's requirements; data standards; are fit for purpose; relevant and reliable.

·      Support in preparing the customized analysis, monitoring information in database, sending relevant matter information to various League Table providers (who publish rankings of Law Firm globally) and managing the communications with internal stakeholders as well as external providers.

·      Support in performing a variety of scheduled and ad-hoc exercises (like preparing newsletters containing weekly updates of the Business Development activities, performing customized open Internet searches etc.)

·      Support in managing and monitoring the its 5 libraries (CVs, Directory submissions, Capability statements, pitch responses and awards) on the Marketing Materials platform via a host of activities like uploading, deleting, moving key firm documents along with managing the access rights of users so that they can manage their own documents.

·      Managing the firms contact database and marketing activities. Also, specializes in preparing customized reports & analysis supporting integral projects like InterAction data cleansing as per the new GDPR guidelines.

·      Creating pitch analysis to assist the BD group in making critical/strategic decisions

·      Support the marketing and business development team by troubleshooting any technology questions, email marketing, proposal tool, and database needs.

·      Complete, with supervision, special projects to improve the data integrity of specific marketing lists and contact types, including imports, data cleansing, searching and exporting.

·      Reviewing the marketing databases to identify the eligible contacts.

·      Customized reporting like able to prepare periodic update reports outlining progress against business development plans and initiatives, if needed

·      Providing additional support to other InterAction activities like –

o   Reviewing, validating & processing process Data Change Management tickets

·      Conduct ongoing database clean-up and maintenance regarding bounced contacts and duplicates. Research contacts and companies via internet to update profile information, business addresses, email, and job title.

·      Offering end-user assistance to BD's, administrative staff etc

·      Corporate structures and key client contact lists are accurately set-up, profiled and prepared on InterAction to support the needs, including reporting, of the business and dedicated client teams

·      Undertake company / personnel research online using companies' websites, annual reports and the Firm’s subscription services to resolve client data

·      Manage firm's tools like Matter Information System, Global proposal database, Online Services, Alumni, Vuture & Interaction (CRM tool)

·      Review, Validate and process Data Change Management tickets.

·      Maintaining information about all pitches the Firm does for its clients and potential clients

·      Use the full breadth of InterAction's Data Quality and Export/Import tools, including Association Clean-up to ensure our key client data are accurate and duplicate free

·      Help support the set-up and implementation of the various processes and procedures in relation to the delivery of a suite of standard reports for our key clients

·      Participate in an audit of the Firm’s databases to be undertaken by a supplier and to that extent process the approved changes in respect of their findings and recommendations

·      To participate in the various data standardisation and normalisation tasks when deploying InterAction to the Firm’s offices not yet on InterAction

·      Offering end-user assistance to BD's, administrative staff etc.

·      Assist in the production of periodic update reports outlining progress against business development plans and initiatives




Key Requirements


The successful candidate should have:


An excellent commitment to client service, delivery and timeliness along with essential demonstrable skills in working collaboratively and co-operatively with global teams

·       An excellent attention to detail and an innate appreciation of data and their structures

·      The intellectual rigour and insight to be credible with a highly intelligent and experienced group of personnel


·      Comfortable working with large data sets and spreadsheet files

·      Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

·      Excellent organisation, planning and time management

·      Sound research

·      Excellent interpersonal, written and presentational

·      Responsible and takes ownership of projects while being inclusive and informative to team members

·      Data manipulation skills using MS Excel

·      Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions with high degree of accuracy



·      Previous experience of working on LexisNexis InterAction module would be highly preferable

·      Sound experience of working with, managing and meeting the expectations of various onshore teams

·      Familiarity with Vuture, Alumni, Online Service, Global Proposal Database or similar systems is a plus

·      Ability to work independently and with colleagues located in different offices

·      Previous law firm experience is preferred




·      Understanding of corporate structures, company profiling and the importance of CRM tools and their application in key client management;

·      Have a global perspective, with sensitivity to multiple and diverse cultures;

·      While experience of the legal market is not necessary, the skill of working in a consensus based partnership culture is




·      Bachelor's degree or equivalent

·      2-3 years of total work experience in a corporate/MNC
